Firefighters battle 300m heath fire at Browndown in Alver Valley in Gosport

SEA Cadets have been awarded for their efforts over the past 12 months.

The youngsters from Gosport Sea Cadets, known as TS Hornet, were given the Central District Participation Trophy by Commander Karen Christianson.

The trophy is awarded annually to the unit which has participated the most in the events run by the district in the year.

Cdr Christianson’s visit was also utilised to enrol four Junior Cadets into Fully Enrolled Cadets. The Junior Cadets were Megan Johnson, Teghon Neat, Ella Jones and Jake Adams.
