IN PICTURES: HMS Sultan Summer Show

Families flocked to see the Royal Navy show off their equipment at the annual HMS Sultan Summer Show.
Monster truck Grim Reaper in action at the HMS Sultan Summer Show. Thousands of visitors enjoyed an exciting Fathers Day weekend recently at the HMS Sultan Summer Show 2018.  The not-for-profit Show was jam-packed with high quality Arena Entertainment including Monster Trucks, a Steam Fayre and motorcycle displays with the Royal Naval Volunteer Cadet Corps Field Gun and the HMS Sultan Volunteer Band ensuring the Show was in keeping with the best of Naval Traditions.  Outside of the Main Arena an enormous funfair, a free Fun and Games Arena, petting zoo, static airframe displays, creepy crawlies, craft and chairties tents, classic cars and a Georgian Gun Deck Experience based around the Battle of Trafalgar kept visitors entertained. In addition, guests were also given the opportunity to book their own ride on the Red Dragon; Moster Ride Truck. Monster trucks, navy helicopters, motorbike displays and even stream trains drew crowds in.

The two-day event raises thousands of pounds for community groups and charities in and around Gosport.

Children from across the area were given a preview of all the activities on Friday night when the showground opened just for them.
