A PLAY area is hoping to make Gosport a Makaton-friendly town.

The SEN team at Monkey Bizness – an indoor play center in Aerodrome Road – is hoping to introduce the language to businesses in the town on Thursday, July 20.

SEN Manager Emma Rawlings said: ‘You may have seen Mr Tumble signing in Makaton on television.

‘There are 100,000 adults and children in the UK that currently use Makaton to communicate.’
