PICTURES: Jodie Whittaker spotted filming Doctor Who in Gosport

Film crews descended on the town today, with co-star Bradley Walsh spotted in the Sailmaker pub.

Fans snapped photos with Walsh, who will appear in Doctor Who.

Lewis Jefferies snapped these photos at Little Woodham, a village styled on the 17th century.

The 20-year-old, who studies film industries and creative writing at the University of Portsmouth, said the spot was a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’.

He said: ‘I was quite bored in one of my lectures when I was scrolling through Twitter and saw film crews were in the area.

‘I decided to make the journey over there in the afternoon, and by a stroke of luck, I managed to watch it all unfold.

‘I was with another person and Jodie actually saw us and gave us a wave – it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.’

The student says he will hang on to the memories long into the future – not least because Doctor Who is his favourite show.

He continued: ‘I’ve been following it very closely since it came back in 2005 and I absolutely love it.

‘I would definitely say it’s my favourite show.’
