A MAN will appear at crown court next month after being charged with causing death by dangerous driving over a Boxing Day crash which claimed the life of a Gosport mother.

Sabrina Bellman, 26, died in the incident on the B3266 near Washaway, between Bodmin and Wadebridge, in north Cornwall last year, when she was on holiday coming back from a pantomime trip to watch Sleeping Beauty.

Mrs Bellman was holidaying with her husband, Dominic, mother-in-law, Dawn and their young daughter Ellie when the crash took place.

The four had to be cut out from the vehicle by fire crews and were taken to hospital but Sabrina was pronounced dead in the ambulance.

Daniel Charles Smith, of St Issey, near Wadebridge, appeared at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court today where no plea was given.

Mr Smith will now appear in front of Truro Crown Court on November 11 and has been released on unconditional bail.

He also faces charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
