Man appearing in court today after Hayling Island stabbing

A 20-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court today after a woman was stabbed when a row broke out at a Wimpy in a Hayling Island amusement park.

Harry Middleton, of Chidham Close, was charged with attempted murder after a row broke out between two staff members in the restaurant at Funland.

He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court today.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 3.30pm on Saturday after reports of an assault.

They confirmed a 21-year-old woman had suffered stab wounds in an '˜isolated incident' and had been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
