A JET ski valued at about £16,000 has been stolen from a garage on Hayling Island – and police are now appealing for witnesses.

Between 7.30pm on Monday, February 26, and 10.30am on Tuesday, February 27, a blue and orange jet ski, which was secured to the floor, was stolen from a garage on Island Close.

The jet ski is described as having graphics which say Krash and Footrocket on the back.

Officers are keen to talk to anyone who saw or heard anything in the area.

They are also asking anyone who is offered a jet ski matching this description to call police immediately.

PCSO Callum Younger, from the Hayling Island Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: ‘This burglary took place in a quiet residential area, and would appear at this stage to be an isolated incident.

‘We would like to hear from anyone who might have seen or heard this incident happen, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time.

‘This is a very distinctive and high-value jet ski, so if you see it or are offered it for sale, please call us so we can identify the person responsible.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44180076695, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police are asking members of the public to never leave a garage or shed unlocked, especially if it has a connecting door to a house.
