More than 30 different boozes to unite for festival in Southsea tomorrow

EMPLOYEES from the University of Portsmouth’s Student Union have beaten competition from hundreds of universities across the country.

Two students, Sam Allman and Vlad Fagarasanu, were nominated in several categories at the recent national Student Employee of the Year Awards.

Vlad, a third year graphic design student, took home the Above and Beyond award, with Sam winning the Commercial Impact award.

Vlad said: ‘I cannot thank the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union enough for such an amazing opportunity and for being such a great team to work with.

‘To be honest, I still can’t believe it. I am beyond happy.’

Sam Allman, a creative writing masters student, added: ‘It’s been a great year developing and working with the University of Portsmouth Student Union, and its lovely to see how our hard work has paid off with this amazing award.’

Both employees were awarded £100 as well as a glass award and certificate.
