Blue Day: Morrisons, Anchorage Park

Donning their best blue outfits, staff at Morrisons in Anchorage Park championed this year's Blue Day by holding a charity wax.

Bakery Team Leader Bob Smith was left feeling exposed after he volunteered to have his chest and back waxed to support The Tom Prince Cancer Trust. Staff and customers gathered outside to see Mr Smith get his treatment from Level 2 Beauty Therapy students from Highbury College. Mr Smith has so far raised £200 for the charity.

He said: ‘It did hurt but it’s all for a good cause and supporting Blue Day and The Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

‘But I won’t be getting another wax anytime soon,’ he added.

Store Manager Helena Lightfoot said: ‘It’s great fun. We have supported Blue Day most years as it’s something we like to do.’
