THE MOTHER of a man who fought in a charity boxing match has put out a heartfelt thanks to those who donated.

On March 18, a match took place at the Mountbatten Centre in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Fifty-eight-year-old Kim Lafferty, from Stamshaw, said that a total of £1,350 was raised for Cancer Research UK.

She said: ‘My son Daniel Lafferty, who is 32, fought on the night. It was all set up in aid of Cancer Research UK.

‘So many people donated to the cause and I want to thank them all for their kind donations.’
