A CHARITY dog walk will raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Caring Laura Gaul has organised the fundraiser after her grandma was diagnosed with the illness two years ago.

The event is encouraging all dog walkers to walk along Eastney beach.

Laura has set up a Just Giving page to help get donations. On the page she said: ‘I wanted to do something that may help make a difference in someone’s life.

‘Watching a loved one change in front of you can make you feel helpless and afraid for them and this charity work helps to provide care and comfort for those affected by the disease.’

The walk is on February 27 and starts at The Marine Bar at 10am. Participants will walk along Eastney beach to the Yomper statue and then back to The Marina Bar for drinks and cake.

Laura is also doing a London to Paris bike ride in July in aid of the charity.
