A FORMER Portsmouth footballer will be present at the grand reopening of a holiday store.

Thomson Holidays in London Road has undergone a refit, and will be celebrating its reopening tomorrow at 9.30am.

So many stores have closed in North End recently, and we wanted to try and help return the area to its former glory, whilst improving our services for customers.

Vincent Pericard, who played for Pompey from 2002 to 2006 and scored nine goals, will be there to cut the ribbon.

Branch manager Sheryl Wain said: ‘So many stores have closed in North End recently, and we wanted to try and help return the area to its former glory, whilst improving our services for customers.

‘We now have private booths for customers to personalise their holidays, with laptops showing them the hotels and tours available – this works for both customers and our staff.

‘On top of this, we will also have an interactive map of the world that can be used to see all the holidays we offer.’
