CHILDREN can meet Father Christmas as his grotto will be returning to a Portsmouth shopping centre.
Cascades Shopping Centre in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, will be welcoming the special guest and his grotto for the festive period.
Excitement is building ahead of his arrival, and from Friday, November 16 the man from the North Pole will be in residence every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until Monday, December 10, when he will be in the centre every day right up until 3pm on Christmas Eve.
‘We’re delighted to welcome the return of Father Christmas to his grotto at Cascades as part of the festivities that will be taking place across the city over the coming weeks,’ said centre manager, Andrew Philip.
‘The Christmas season is a fantastic time of year at Cascades and we’re looking forward to seeing plenty of smiling, happy faces as youngsters get to meet Father Christmas in person.
‘Our annual grotto is a firm favourite and we welcome hundreds of families from across Portsmouth each year.
‘This year the grotto is looking better than ever, and it will be great to have it back in the centre as we get ever-closer to Christmas.
‘We know how popular Father Christmas is when he’s in the centre and we’ll be running a booking system online to give everyone the chance to meet him, I’d advise booking now to avoid disappointment.’
The grotto will be in Cascades from Friday, November 16.
Visits cost £4.50 per child and includes a wrapped gift and photo.
