FIREFIGHTERS were called to a bin fire earlier.

The incident took place in King’s Road, Southsea, where bins had caught alight.

Two appliances from Southsea Fire Station attended the scene around 2.40am.

One hose reel was used to put the fire out and officers left about 3.00am.

A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said they have passed on the details to Portsmouth City Council.
