An ice rink will return to Portsmouth city centre for the festive season, it has been confirmed.
Going ice skating on an outdoor rink is one of the highlights of the Christmas season.
And Portsmouth residents will once again be able to go skating in Guildhall Square this year.
The ice rink will open on Saturday, November 17 – so more than a month from now – and will stay until the New Year on January 6, 2019.
Ice Skate and Moguls Alpine Bar Portsmouth confirmed the news that the rink is return on its Facebook page.
The post read: ‘Get your skates on, ice skating and so much more is returning to Portsmouth Guildhall Square on Saturday, November 17.
‘With huge announcements coming soon, keep your eyes on the page for more info in the coming days.'
Skate Portsmouth signed a deal with the city council to put the rink in place every Christmas up until 2023.
Last year the ice rink was surrounded by Christmas trees and a new wooden chalet bar, which was built next to the Civic Offices.
The rink was able to fit 215 skates per session during the 2017 festive season.
