HOVER travel links are set to run later than ever before – all in the name of music.
A firm which links Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight will extend its evening services to transport music fans attending August’s Victorious Festival, in Southsea.
Hovertravel’s extra services – running as late as 00.30am from Friday, August 25 until Sunday, August 27 – will allow island residents to enjoy the full Victorious Festival experience and still be across the Solent in ten minutes.
Loretta Lale, head of commercial at Hovertravel, said: ‘This is the latest we have ever operated.
‘As this festival is on Southsea Common, Hovertravel is by far the closest ferry operator. It’s about giving people a better choice.
‘By working closely with local councils and our staff we can now extend our services into the early morning of the next day and help the island community enjoy a great night out.’
Tickets for the late-running festival services – linking Ryde and Southsea – are available at www.hovertravel.com.
