M27 and A27 roadworks: Here are the works taking place in the Portsmouth area this week

Here are the latest roadworks being carried out on the M27 and A27 this week.

The works are being carried out by Highways England.

M27 junctions 3 to 4 Southampton, Hampshire: bridge reconstruction

Work to maintain journeys and ensure road user safety by replacing the Romsey Road bridge near junction 3 continues this week.

A 50mph speed restriction is in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways beneath the bridge until summer 2019.

A27 Farlington, Hampshire: signs

Work to improve journeys by maintaining the signage along the A27 continues this week.

The westbound exit slip road at the A2030 Eastern Road junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday September 10, and from Thursday September 13 for three nights (Monday to Friday only).

Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.

Work to improve journeys by maintaining the signage along the A27 continues this week.

The eastbound exit slip road at the A259 Warblington junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Wednesday September 12.

A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Fishbourne Roundabout at Chichester and return.
