A CARE home has been praised in a new report by inspectors.

Milton Village care home in Warren Avenue, Milton was rated as good in a new report by the Care Quality Commission following a visit on November 8 and 9 last year.

Inspectors from the health watchdog praised the way people were treated at the care home in the report, stating that improvements had been made since the last inspection in October 2015.

The report, published last Tuesday, read: ‘People told us they felt safe living at Milton Village. Staff knew how to recognise the signs of abuse and how to protect people from avoidable harm.

‘The provider ensured there were robust systems in place for staff to report their concerns.’

It added: ‘There were enough staff to care for people safely. There had been medication errors at the service, but systems had been put in place to ensure improvement and medicines were handled safely.’
