A new board game cafe has opened its doors in Portsmouth.

Dice opened for the first time at 149 Albert Road today, although the cafe will have its official opening on Saturday.

On its Facebook page the cafe says it has more than 500 board games available for players.

The building previously caused controversy when it was considered for use as a strip club.

Last month The News reported an application had been made to transform the building’s first floor into a karaoke venue and bar.

The ground floor is used by the board game cafe.

Saturday’s official opening will begin from 10am.
