THE chairwoman of the Albert Road Traders’ Association has rejected Costa Coffee’s plans to open a new shop in the road.

Jenni Catlow says Costa will take away the individuality of the Southsea street.

She said: ‘People come from far and wide here to soak up the atmosphere. They know we are different. Can’t they get we want to be different and a haven for people who enjoy individuality?’
