Pictures capture life in Portsmouth during World War TwoÂ

Portsmouth was one of the places targeted by the Germans during the Blitz and the photos from the time show the damage caused to streets by the bombing campaign. 

The pictures also show soldiers marching in the streets, women working to help win the war while the men were overseas and a taste of life at the time.
