Fundraisers netted more than £500 to support a football club’s defibrillator.
A team of dads and coaches from Fleur De Lys took on a team from Portsmouth police on Saturday.
The game at the Mountbatten Centre was raising cash for kit to maintain the defibrillator installed in Drayton Park, the club’s ground.
Club secretary Colin Nash thanked the police for taking part. He said: ‘It shows the community spirit. We’ve got a lot of teams and players and have access to parents and a support network.’
Around 700 players train with Fleur De Lys Youth FC each Saturday.
Pompey Police won the match 10-8, after being 8-7 down with two minutes left.
Goals for the police came from Sam Crouch (5), Arron Taylor, Wade Hicks, Karl Warner (2) and Ross Hanley. To support the club and for more info, see fleurdelysfc.co.uk
