Portsmouth City Council will consider the application to level the former base of the Drift in the City bar, in Isambard Brunel Road, Southsea.

The site has been unused for most of the last decade.

Under the proposal, the area could be used for events, businesses and the community. It would also open up views to Portsmouth Cenotaph and war memorials.
