VETERANS and forces families are being given the chance to brew their own beer by a pub firm, as part of a nationwide scheme.

The event, known as Veterans Brew Day, will take place on Friday at all 21 boozers run by Brewhouse and Kitchen – including the one in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth.

It is free for veterans, military personnel and their families. New brews will be revealed on November 8 before the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
