Sainsbury’s stores have recalled bars of its Raisin Milk Chocolate after it emerged they could contain traces of nuts.

The company said the 200g bars could contain hazelnut and almond, which are not mentioned on the bar’s label.

They are being recalled as they could put customers with a nut intolerance or allergy at risk.

Customers are advised to checked if their bar, which is Sainsbury’s own brand, has a best before date of June 28, 2017.

Anyone with a nut intolerance or allergy who bought the bar is asked to return it to their nearest store for a refund.
