Smarties McFlurry is returning to McDonald's - but only for this limited time

After love letters were penned, petitions signed by hundreds and the Government rejecting fans' pleas to force the fast food chain to return it to the menu '“ the popular ice cream product is back by popular demand. 

The Smarties McFlurry will be available at McDonald's across the UK and Ireland from Wednesday, September 26, until November 17. 

Which gives you less than two months to get your hands on the chocolatey ice cream goodness. 

This limited edition treat is available in both full-sized and mini versions, includes Smarties and a delicious chocolate sauce.

With mini Smarties McFlurry costing 89p and a regular one costing £1.29. 

It is returning to the menu as part of the Great Tastes of the World featuring the French, Swiss, Brazilian and Jamaican Stack burgers. 

Here's the full range of products that will be available as part of the promotion: 

- Smarties McFlurry: Soft dairy ice cream, served with crushed Mini Smarties and a Chocolate Sauce

- The French Stack: weeks 1&2 (new) two 100% British and Irish Beef Patties, Bacon, Cheese, Slivered Onions, Lettuce and Garlic Mayo in a Toasted Garlic Bun

- The Swiss Stack: weeks 3&4 (returning) two 100% British and Irish Beef Patties, Bacon, Cheese Crispy Onions, Lettuce and an Emmental Cheese Sauce in a Toasted Lattice Topped Bun

- The Brazilian Stack: weeks 5&6 (new) Two 100% British and Irish Beef Patties with Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Red Onion Rings, Lettuce and a Creamy Bell Pepper, Chilli and Lime Sauce

- The Jamaican Stack: weeks 1 '“ 8 (returning) Two pieces of succulent Crispy Chicken with a Spicy Jerk Sauce, Cool Mayo, Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Red Onion Rings and Lettuce in a Seasoned Jerk Bun
