A TRAIN guard has told of her delight at winning nearly £3,000 on a TV show.
Clare Oram, 29, appeared on the ITV game show on Friday night.
The fan of the show, from Hatfield Road, Southsea, won £2,850 – but lost out on the jackpot despite getting the final six answers correct.
She said: ‘It was fantastic, I didn’t want to go up first.
‘That’s what I was worried about.
‘But to win, it was amazing, any money I could take home was a bonus.
‘I watch it all the time.
‘I had a feeling I knew what to do.
‘There’s no strategy to it, you have to be lucky.’
The long-running TV show is hosted by Ben Shephard and sees contestants go four rounds in the competition.
They use a coin pusher machine to try and win counters.
All of the rounds involve answering general knowledge questions and in round three there are quick-fire questions.
After winning the cash during the filming last June, Clare took her mother and two sisters on holiday to Fuerteventura.
She was selected to appear on the show after completing a telephone interview.
Clare then travelled to Southampton for a face-to-face selection interview.
She added: ‘I think the like the fact that I was a train guard.’
The show in which Clare won was broadcast on Good Friday between 4.25pm and 5.25pm.
