Star Wars fans can head off to a galaxy far, far away tonight as Guildhall Square offers a free showing of one of the latest films.

To celebrate #MayTheFourth - otherwise known as May 4th, Star Wars Day - the square’s big screen will show Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The event will start at 7pm and fancy dress is welcomed.

Limited seating will be provided on a first-come first-served basis but people can also bring their own chairs, picnics and blankets to keep warm and enjoy the film in comfort.

As the film is rated 12a no-one younger than 12 will be allowed to watch the film without an adult.
