A three-legged cat which went missing from Fratton six months ago has finally been reunited with its owner.

Barry the cat was discovered yesterday afternoon after walking into a cat trap set up near the Lakeside North Harbour complex, where he was last spotted by a cleaner.

There had been fears that Barry, missing since May, would not survive the winter months as sightings had reported him to be very thin.

Members of the Lost and Found Cats in Portsmouth UK group had been carrying out searches around the complex to try and find him.

Group member Penny Parker said Barry and his owner Lacey Baulf were reunited after he walked into the cat trap to eat some food.

She added: ‘Thank you all so much for all your lovely kind help and regular contact during the mission.’
