POPULAR Portsmouth nightclub Tiger Tiger will be rebranded after being sold to a rival chain.

The Gunwharf Quays based club will relaunch with a ‘new concept’ in 2019 after its owner Novus Leisure agreed to sell the brand.

Tiger Tiger has been purchased by The Deltic Group, who already operates PRYZM in the city, for an undisclosed sum.

And the Portsmouth club will be rebranded in summer 2019, its new owners have said.

The Deltic Group also agreed to buy Tiger Tiger clubs in Newcastle and Manchester – but not the ones in Leeds, Cardiff and London.

Peter Marks, chief executive of The Deltic Group, said: ‘We’re delighted with this acquisition.

‘Located in dynamic, vibrant cities, each of these sites perfectly complements our existing portfolio.

‘We look forward to welcoming the current Tiger Tiger teams to the Deltic family.’
