TRADESMEN and staff at Buildbase Portsmouth have raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.

The team, which did a one-day charity event, managed to reach a total of £1,279.

There were activities available for visitors to partake in during the day, including a raffle, cake sale, lucky dip and a hugely popular darts competition.

Chris Davies, Buildbase Portsmouth branch manager, said: ‘We’ve had incredible support from staff and customers. We had a cracking charity day and have a staggering final figure for money raised.’
