Train passengers have been told to expect delays to services in the Portsmouth area this morning because of a signalling fault.

There are delays of up to 20 minutes, and National Rail has said some services may be revised or cancelled.

The signalling fault was reported between Portsmouth Harbour and Havant, and is also affecting services going towards Fareham.

Disruption is expected until at least 12pm.

Passengers can keep in touch with the latest updates by following the hashtag #Havant on Twitter.

There have also been delays on the Portsmouth to London route this morning after a South Western train derailed near Basingstoke.

The rear axle of the last coach derailed at low speed as the train left the station.
