RUSH-HOUR commuters are facing lengthy delays this morning following an accident on one of the area’s major roads.

A crash on the northbound highway of the A3 is causing tailbacks of up to an hour.

The incident, which took place near the Buriton exit, has left one lane blocked.

Romanse traffic managers said at just after 8am that the were hour-long delays from the top of the A3(M) at Horndean, adding: ‘Avoid!’

And there were further delays on the A32 north of West Meon after an accident.

Main roads elsewhere in the southern part of Hampshire are running freely.
