You can win exclusive Charles Dickens-themed Lego characters in this Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Facebook competition
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard has commissioned the design of five Lego figures based on well-known characters from Charles Dickens novels.Â
The globally-renowned Victorian era writer was born in Portsmouth and will be the theme of the tourist destination's next Festival of Christmas, beginning on November 30.

Hide AdIncluded in the set are Oliver Twist, Ebenezer Scrooge, David Copperfield and Nell Trent '“ plus one figure of Mr Dickens himself.Â
Each character comes in its own presentation box and Lego and Dickens fans alike will be able to enter a series of Facebook competitions to be in with a chance to win one.Â
Jacquie Shaw, the PR manager for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, said: '˜This year's Festival of Christmas comes with a Dickens twist and we loved this idea of creating a cast of Lego-inspired collectable figures.
'˜The Historic Dockyard has quite a few Dickens links and we think this is a really quirky way to create interest. Who doesn't love Lego?'Â

Hide AdThe custom-made figures have been designed by Worcester-based Etsy seller Becky Swene '“Â who sources genuine Lego pieces from around the world to define the look of cult historical figures '˜we know and love'.Â
To win one of her Dickens-themed toys, rules for the competitions '“Â which will run over the coming months '“Â are simple.Â
Jacquie Shaw said: '˜Keep an eye on our Facebook page and when we publish a picture of the latest figure, simply tell us what novel he or she appeared in to be in with a chance to win.'
The Festival of Christmas at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard will run from Friday, November 30 until Sunday, December 2 '“Â with festive stalls, food and drink, a Dickens quiz and a host of costumed Dickensian characters on offer.Â

Hide AdTickets to attend the fixture must be booked in advance and cost £15.50 per adult and £13.50 per child aged five to 15 before October 31.Â
