Youngsters take part in shopping centre club

MORE than 500 children have enjoyed a summer club.

The youngsters from across Portsmouth have met every Tuesday in the break at Cascades Shopping Centre.

Next week will be the last session, with youngsters learning how to turn unwanted clothes into personalised bags.

Centre manager Andrew Philip said: ‘We’ve had a great summer of fun at Cascades.

‘The sustainability theme that has been running throughout our kids’ club has proven extremely popular with children of all ages. I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to play a part in helping youngsters learn and understand just how important sustainability is.’
