A white Ford flatbed van pulled up outside the address and the driver tried to get into a car which was parked on the driveway.

He then worked with a woman, who was a passenger in the van, to take ten car batteries which were in the front garden of the address, before driving off.

PC Andrew Collis said: ‘Do you recognise the man in the CCTV, or do you know someone who owns a vehicle like this?

‘Do you live in the area and have any CCTV footage of this vehicle being driven around that day?

‘I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting 44180429447.’
