A six-year-old girl from Waterlooville is having eight inches of hair chopped off
to help with researching cancer.

Abbie Kimber is getting her golden locks cut tomorrow at the Wonderful Hair Shop in Waterlooville.

So far she has managed to raise nearly £300 – more than double her initial target.

All donations will be sent to Cancer Research UK, a charity close to the family’s heart, as Abbie’s grandmother died of the disease in 2008.

Abbie’s hair will also be donated to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who have lost their hair because of cancer.

She decided to donate her hair after seeing a TV advert.
