AN INFORMATION evening about prostate cancer is to be held.

PCaSO, the local Prostate Cancer Network, is holding a meeting at the Sacred Heart Church, London Road, Waterloovile, on Friday at 7pm.

Those who think they might have a problem, need advice, or have been diagnosed can go along.

The meeting is an opportunity for people to discuss and share experiences over refreshments.

Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK, which is 10,000 a year, and has overtaken lung cancer as the most common cancer in men.

However, if caught early it can usually be cured with modern treatments.

Admission is free and the meeting is open to all.

There is ample free parking.
