A THIEF climbed on to the roof of a pub to break into a flat.

The burglar clambered on to the low roof of the Woodpecker Pub, in London Road, Waterlooville to gain access to the flat above.

They climbed through the flat’s window and stole two handbags and a wallet.

Police are now appealing for helping in catching the crook. The crime happened on May 17.

Witnesses should call police on 101 with details.
