Chichester Festival Theatre has secured more Olivier Awards nominations than any other theatre company this year.

Its two West End hits, Gypsy and Guys and Dolls, have earned a staggering 14 nominations, with both shows nominated for the coveted Best Musical Revival award.

Gypsy has been nominated eight times, while Guys and Dolls has garnered six nominations.

Leading ladies Imelda Staunton and Sophie Thompson will compete for the Best Actress in a Musical Award, while Jamie Parker and David Haig, both from Guys and Dolls, go head-to-head in the Best Actor in a Musical category.

Lara Pulver is nominated as best actress in a supporting role in a musical for her role as Louise in Gypsy.

The best actor in a supporting role category is even more competitive, with Peter Davison and Dan Burton nominated for Gypsy, alongside Gavin Spokes for Guys and Dolls.
