NOVELIST Lindsey Davis will give a talk and sign copies of her latest book next month.

The author, best known for her Falco series, which are set in Ancient Rome, will be at Fishbourne Roman Palace on Tuesday, October 4.

Visitors will be able to find out more about the inspiration for Lindsey’s writing, hear about her work, ask questions and purchase signed copies of her latest book The Graveyard of the Hesperides.

Lindsey, a writer with a passion for the Roman period, has been a supporter of the palace for many years and set one of her books at Fishbourne.

Senior museum assistant Tess Fradgley, who says she is a keen reader of Lindsey’s books, said: ‘I am really looking forward to seeing Lindsey again and finding out more about her new book, which should be good crime romp.

‘Her books recreate the trials and tribulations of life in the Roman Empire.’
