How to watch 5 Star Wrestling's Tap or Snap Championship live

History will be made this Thursday night when 5 Star Wrestling: LIVE from Liverpool debuts on FreeSports.

The biggest names in pro wrestling from all over the world will descend upon the Echo Arena, for the start of the first ever LIVE weekly wrestling TV series emanating from the UK.

The co-main event will see two incredible performers clash in a dream encounter, when 5 Star champion John Morrison defends against Rob Van Dam.

The other half of the co-main event sees a fresh new concept: the battle to decide the first ever 5 Star ‘Tap or Snap’ Champion.

‘Tap or Snap’, explained

5 Star Wrestling will not follow the tired old formula of implementing a heavyweight and cruiserweight championship, or even a country-based championship.

Instead, 5 Star have opted to implement rules-based championships such as the 5 Star Wrestling: Snap or Tap Championship, which can only exchange hands via submission victory.

The idea behind the Tap or Snap Championship is simple: John Morrison has been the 5 Star Champion since January 2016, when he pinned the current WWE Champion AJ Styles to win the title, and has defended the championship against all comers, even in a one-night tournament where he pinned three men including the legendary Rey Mysterio to retain the gold.

Should he defeat Rob Van Dam in Liverpool on Thursday, a serious case could be made for this being one of the all-time great title runs, but, when all is said and done, John Morrison has never won a match by submission and his odds of beating a submission expert at their own game would have to be significantly decreased.
