Hallett also threw the joint-quickest game – with his 17-dart leg equalling the exploits of team-mate Brett Smith and Lord Chichester A’s Pete Curtis.

Artillery Arms’ Derek Manchip notched a 157 game-shot which no-one in the second-tier could better.

George & Dragon may have finished in the bottom half of division C but their was individual success for Shane Plummer, who took the aggregate, quickest game and top finish prizes.

Plummer shared the aggregate with Froddington Arms duo Mark Donnelly and Luke Graf, each with three losses.

A 17-dart leg saw him match the efforts Oyster House A’s Lee Lamkin, Dave Lock, of Froddington Arms, and Portland Arms’ Rob Griffin.

And a 130 finish ensured Plummer was outright winner of the best check-out.

Eldon Arms’ Michael Chandler had a personal double in division D.

Just two losses for the season meant he shared the aggregate prize with Red White & Blue’s Steve Fell, while a 16-darter was the fastest leg.

The highest finish was claimed by another Eldon player, Kevin Oliver, with a 128 game-shot.

n Hampshire’s flagship darts tournament is returning to Portsmouth and for the first time will have a ladies’ competition running in tandem.

It is 30 years since the Hampshire Open was contested in the city and it makes its comeback on Saturday, June 11 at The Pyramids Centre.

A guaranteed first prize of £1,000 is part of a £2,600 prize pot for the men’s event – thanks to sponsorship from LA Kattenhorn & Partners. The ladies’ event will see £500 going to the winner with a £1,000 total prize fund.

The winners will also qualify for the Winmau World Masters Great Britain Finals and the Lakeside World Professional International Play-offs.

Entry is £10 for men and £7 for ladies and you must be aged 13 or older.
