Paul Harris is proving to be a hot rod when it comes to catching cod.
The experienced angler has become a reel threat to the species in local waters, landing three impressive specimens in recent weeks.
He cast off on his hot streak with a December double.
The brace tipped the scales at 19lb and 20lb respectively in a successful day’s fishing on Peter Churchill’s boat.
Harris was clearly bitten by the bug and was at it again soon after.
Once more aboard his pal’s vessel, ‘Moonshine’, he lured another hefty cod.
This time, though, Harris decked his previous efforts with a stunning 22lb fish.
The cod fell to his bait alongside the Nab Tower.
