John Brown took the latest match of the Allan's Marine Super League and with it sealed the overall title.
Brown has recorded an impressive four wins from six matches in the series.
His latest glory charge came as 13 anglers braved the sub-zero temperature to participate in the final match of the league, fished along the shores of Elmore, Lee-on-the-Solent.
Brown recorded seven fish for a total weight of 1lb 6oz.
Second was Nick Pateman, with six fish for 1lb 1oz.
Third went to the event organiser Kim Andrews, with four fish for 15oz.
Andrews also landed the heaviest fish of the night, a 6oz whiting.
The league, which has been running a match each month since July, concluded with Brown first with seven points, after his stunning run of form.
Mick Goodger shared second place with Dave Edwards on 16 points and in fourth was Martin Mogridge on 22 points.
A knockout was run during the league season, where 11 anglers started out.
The battle was reduced down to a clash for honours between Edwards and Mogridge, with Edwards becoming the outright winner.
Throughout the six matches, the overall heaviest round fish recorded was a smooth-hound weighing 6lb, caught in the July match by Goodger.
The heaviest flat fish recorded during the event was a 15oz sole caught in August by England international shore angler Darren Phillips.
The new 2011 league is already well under way.
