Gallery: Police book in for great fancy dress edition of Stokes Bay junior parkrun

A great turnout of juniors were supported by Gosport Police and the volunteers who helped contribute to a fantastic Stokes Bay junior parkrun event on Sunday.Â

It was a brilliant morning with lots of great fancy dress outfits on show.

The volunteers cheered and supported 139 juniors as they had a fabulous fun junior parkrun.

It was a nice occasion with sunshine and a superb atmosphere along the seafront in Gosport .

Stokes Bay junior parkrun welcomed 19 new first timers, they celebrated lots of new personal bests and wristbands to mark distance achievements.

Theo Rioz De Sa finished in first position as he completed his 17th run (7min 35sec).

Second was George Snow and in third position was Charlie McLaughlin.

Emily Lee finished first female as she ran a good time of 8.43 for the 2k course along the promenade.

Run Verity juniors Rory Trickett, Maya Trickett and Luke Trickett all took part at Stokes Bay.

Joseph Brooks and Erin Salmon, who was among the runners to get a personal best on Sunday, both represented Fareham Crusaders in the event.

Lots of the junior parkrun regulars have been making good progress with the distance covered.

Pearson Atkinson did his 69th junior parkrun and Tanisha Gray finished her 56th. 

Gabriel Mullen has done 53, Thomas Parry 52 and Marlie Neil celebrated reaching 50 on Sunday.

The Stokes Bay junior parkrun takes place on Sundays at 9am.

It is held at Stokes Bay Promenade, Pebble Beach, Stokes Bay Road, Gosport, PO12 2BL.

The event is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds).
