The course starts with a short uphill before a lovely steep downhill section.
Then along the bottom path it is undulating before runners turn back up the big hill which can seem like it goes on and on forever.
It’s a nice climb with some steep sections.
At the top there is more respite with a nice downhill again before a run back along the bottom path to the finish.
It always feels like the undulations along the bottom path get steeper as you go up them the second time.
QE parkrun always has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and it is a great place to take part in the 5k and volunteer as well.
The event takes place in Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Gravel Hill, Horndean.
