Stubbington Green Runners A team took the senior ladies’ prize at the Lakeside Road Relays.
Daisy Hall completed the first leg in a time of 25min 16sec. Georgina Gair finished the second leg with 25.41 and Rebecca Lord then brought the team home in 24.56.
It was a strong performance from the team as they won with a total time of 1.15.53.
Ryde Harriers were second with Havant third (1.21.11).
Georgie Lavery took Havant out in a time of 28.32. Alice Rorke ran the second leg in 27.12.
Corin Bearpark then finished the race with a strong 25.27 to take the team from fifth to third.
Stubbington Green B finished fourth. Nikkie Roebuck (26.42), Alethea Adair-Stantiall (27.54) and Lucy May (27.30) ran for them (1.22.06).
The event, incorporating the Hampshire Championships, proved a big success at 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour.
Sunshine greeted the runners and those who turned out to support them.
City of Portsmouth won the under-17 ladies prize (1.27.08).
Kayleigh Johns ran the first leg in 26:40. Louise Lockyer ran the second leg 28:22 and Lauren Crook brought the team home (32:06).
Winchester’s Kathy Bailey ran the fastest leg overall (23.21). Eastleigh’s Hannah Howard clocked (23.36).
