Kenya’s James Rungaru claimed race honours in the Bupa Great South Run’s 25th anniversary event.

The 21-year-old 10-mile debutant spoke to The News after his milestone victory in a time of 46 minutes and 31 seconds.

Ugandan Abraham Kiplimo (46.38) was second, with fellow Rungaru’s Kenyan Joel Kimutai finishin in third (47.21).
