Hampshire are national short-mat champions after beating favourites Cheshire in the final at Daventry on Sunday.
And they will now cross the Irish Sea in December to face the best squad Ireland has to offer.
Good ditch play from Paul England ensured Hampshire and Cheshire were locked 8-8 at the halfway stage.
But despite Wendy Ford’s best efforts, the underdogs trailed 17-11 with one session left.
They had to win both sets of fours and triples to triumph and they did just that as Mark Hollis forced the Cheshire skip into an error on the final end of his fours battle.
With the triples in the bag, James Bucknall then saw out the win with glory on his fours end.
The Hampshire squad is made up of bowlers from Portsmouth & District League club’s Crown, from Purbrook, Portsdown of Havant and Stubbington Avenue’s North End.
n Eastleigh Railway beat Lockswood 65-30 to win the Palmerston Cup on Sunday.
Hampshire Police lost 59-57 to Banister Park Gold in the third-place play-off.
